
Dr. Marjean Olson has emerged as one of the most unique and exciting voices of her generation. A longtime practitioner of the art of piano pedagogy, Dr. Olson has been working with private students and budding musicians at The Manhattan School of Music for nearly two decades where she wears several hats that include Assistant Dean of Academics, Director of Keyboard Skills while she heads up the Piano Pedagogy department. Originally from North Dakota, at the age of two Olson was recognized as a piano prodigy and her pursuit of music began. As a young adult, Olson studied with acclaimed pianist David Worth at Concordia College where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree. Olson then went on to earn a Doctorate of Musical Arts at The University of Michigan where the groundwork of her unique philosophies were conceived during her tenure with Arthur Greene.
